Opposite to the last couple of years, Corsica moves in 2007 to autumn after Spain. Cornering technique comes into its own on the island of Corsica, however. The event isn't nicknamed the rally of 10,000 corners for nothing. Although faster and wider than in previous years, the route still winds its way up into the mountains above Ajaccio, providing a stern test for driver and tyre alike.

Corsica is a dramatic, mountainous island, with its peaks rising rapidly out of the sea. The island's capital, Ajaccio, is home to Rally HQ for the weekend.
